Oh, I won't be the only person who loves December and the whole festive ambiance. And even though the Christmas season is behind us, I can't resist summarizing the most atmospheric winter month. I don't know how it is for you, but for me, this MOST magical time starts right from the first day of December.
When I look out the window, I get the feeling as if the sky has this festive preset on, just like in Lightroom!
That's when the whole vlogmas period on YouTube begins, and the Christmas radio stations turn into a Christmas playlist... And even though there's usually no eagerly anticipated snow outside, the twinkling lights, decorations, and Christmas trees in shop windows lift the spirits.
This year, the beginning of December was planned for a very long time. My sister and I had a trip to the seaside. It was a journey to the Tricity (consisting of Gdańsk, Gdynia, and Sopot, are the three popular cities situated along the Baltic Sea coast in Poland).
Even though we didn't stay there for long (just a weekend), it was great. On the first day, we stopped by the Christmas Market in Gdańsk - a hefty snowfall caught us, so there was a truly festive atmosphere!
The rest of the day was spent relaxing and lounging by the hotel pool. During our seaside stay, we managed to visit Sopot for a while, which always leaves an impression no matter the season!
The return home didn't sadden me that much because what I love awaited me - of course, I'm talking about decorating the Christmas tree. Lately, I've fallen in love with the neutrality of beige, so that's what my tree was supposed to reflect. However, to give it a bit more character, I added golden and silver baubles. I liked the effect so much that I don't even think about taking them down.
December is also a baking period for me - gingerbread cookies, classic cheesecake, and gingerbread.
Looking at those pictures, I suddenly crave something sweet! I had an irreplaceable assistant with me - Grażynka, the little doggie ;)
